The election results in England may still be under tabulation but the country has a new Prem Minster and he is Mr. Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian has worked wonders for the London blues in his very first year in charge of the club as the Italian delivered the Premier League trophy in stunning style last year an in process shattered Manchester United’s Dream of landing a unprecedented 4th consecutive league title.
Manchester United needed Chelsea to drop points against the Latics on Sunday at Stamford but it was more like hoping against hope as the London blues thrashed a woeful 8-0 to lift the premier league trophy for the first time since 2006.
Chelsea blew away their opponents on Sunday as Didier Drogba slammed a magnificent hattrick as Anelka bagged two and Frank Lampard, Soloman Kalou and Ashley Cole bagging one goal each.
With the three goals Drogba took his goal tally of the season to 29 goals and with that secured the Golden Boot award beating Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney. Meanwhile Chelsea’s title Rivals Manchester United were impressive in their 4-0 win against stoke at Old Trafford but it was not meant to be their year this time.
It was a moment to great joy for the Chelsea captain who had a troubled season off the pitch with reports of his alleged romps with Veronica Perroncell but yesterday he was the happiest man alive. Lifting the Trophy aloft Terry said, "I've been hurting inside for three years seeing Manchester United lift it - and I promise you every one of us has sat there and watched it. It's their turn to sit there and watch today."
John Terry vows to make sure that Alex Ferguson's side stay second for the years to come as he and his Chelsea side are determined to win more silverware. He said: "This feels magnificent. It's been three hard years”
"We've got it back now and we need to do what United have done and maintain it for a few years. It's been up and down all year, it's been really tough”
"We went away to Wigan and got beat, quite comfortably as well, so we knew today's game would be tough”
"When we went 1-0 up, that was the first time I've thought 'Yeah, that's ours"
Terry also paid tribute to his Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti who matched Jose Mourinho's feat by as he became only the second foreign manager to win the League at the very first attempt.
Praising his manager Terry said: "Carlo has brought great calmness and a great atmosphere.
"He gives us free spirit to go out and play as we want to."
The title challenge this season saw great twists and turns with the title initiative changing hands on umpteen occasions during the season but Chelsea maintained their imperious form throughout and great determination to land the coveted trophy.
On the way to the title Chelsea slammed 103 goals in the league which is no mean feat in itself. On 3 occasions they slammed 7 or more goals this season which just shows that their intent was much greater than that of their nearest rivals.
