About a month ago, there was this news story in the newspaper (I'm from New York) about a soldier who was either blinded or partially blinded (or something like that) from his tour in Iraq and understood that his service was over. But then he was sent a letter calling him back and then the article went on about this clause that allowed the military to send him back into war even though he was already discharged and served his time.

I need this article as a source for my paper and I have been trying to search for it but I cannot find it. I would appreciate any help.

  1. If you know the name of the newspaper you could search their archives.

  2. We had a similar incident here where I live . solder came back from Iraq & was severly disabled & under treatment from Doctors. They sent him a letter ststing that he was being called back to duty. I believe local politicion helped him fight having to go back because it would have been impossable for him to do so. They even gave him papers stating that he was disabled when discharged.
