The next American disaster. What would you do?

Obama, and McCain stopped taking my calls. So here's what I think. LA/and or SF will have a major earthquake in the next 4 years. This event will disrupt, or cripple the oil refineries in California. Oil will spike to 200/300 dollars are barrel, almost overnight. And our West Coast will be vulnerable to attack. Did I mention that thousands are dead, and millions are homeless, in the Golden State? What will be your response to this crisis?

  1. The next American disaster is well on it's way here. Take a look at the stock market and realize it is on shaky ground. American jobs are going out the door faster than you can say boo. The great Houdini's that proclaim they are economists are now saying we are in a recession. All they would have to do is pick up a history book. The depression is well described. Sweet crude is riding around a hundred dollars now. Economic predictions have it going to 150.00 a barrel this summer.

The next president is going to be tried by fire, you can best believe this. Terrorists are going to try their luck. Without the eaves dropping bill to trace them they have free reign.

Basically the American people are at the mercy of the next president, congress and senate. If they do nothing we all suffer. The only thing that I have seen from congress so far is tax increases. Oh yes and let's not forget the if he was pumped full of  steroids or not. This will give homes to those that lost their homes and jobs to the jobless.

  2. Stop reading your tea leaves and help find a cure for cancer.

  3. In answer to your question, I have found only one body part which survives all natural and man-made disasters in this nation. That is the finger of blame.

A destruction of the refineries around Martinez and San Pedro won't kick up the price of crude oil. But, it will kick up the price of gasoline and other refined products. The same way that our not building a new refinery in over 30 years has kicked up the price of gas at the pump.

But, warnings like yours won't do much to trigger any preemptive plans or programs. The percentage of Americans who are members of the Ostrich Society (heads planted firmly in the ground) grows every day.

  4. I don't live in California, but I can imagine the chain reaction it would cause considering gas prises are already staggeringly high. I can certainly imagine crime rates increasing all over the nation and mass riots due to people not even being able to pay for gas to go to work. there will be many hundreds of thousands, if not millions unemployed within a few years.

But LA and SF should be prepared for Earthquakes. It's no surprise that California lays on a fault line.
