No, it's not so odd if she loved rainbows.  Water and light can cause a rainbow, doesn't have to be sun.  I think it's a nice way to go.

not odd at all , i think of it as she has made it into heaven and is sending you a sign , like when my nana died , I had to miss school for the funeral , and everyone told me that there was a beautiful white dove that was outside the school and everyone went to look at it because dove's are rare in this area , and they all said that that was for my grandma , it was so pretty !
