  1. b on the same side of the equator

  2. b

  3. b.  The North Atlantic gyre is called the Sargasso Sea.  I have read and seen documentaries which show unfortunately, enormous quantities of plastic bottles, bags, toys, shoes, cigarette lighters, wrappers - just awful pollution in both gyres from years and years of carelessness and stupidity, killing thousands of birds, fish, whales, crustaceans, seals and more.

  4. The answer is b.  on the same side of the Equator.

Both are North of the Equator, one in the North Atlantic and the other in the North Pacific.
