  1. false, go to pubmed and you will see that this statement is false.


  2. Of course not!  However, don't fall into the trap of thinking that more chromosomes = greater complexity.  Humans have 46 chromosomes (23 pairs - 1 from mom and 1 from dad), but goldfish have over 100 and a potato has 48!

  3. Fruit flies have 8 chromosomes.  Humans have 46.  Human sperm cells have 23.   Hmmm....   Sounds False
