The number of the channel on my tv wont go off?? (sony wega)?

i have a sony wega and just say i put it to 5, 5 will stay up the whole time and when i have it on av for sky a little box with an arrow and the number will stay up the whole time. it only started doing this the last week and i dont know how to fix it. i havnt got any books for it. can someone help please??

Its probably in your t.v. settings.  Does the channel stay on while watching regular tv, or just when your playing the system?  If its both, then go to the tv settings on your tv (should be a button on your remote) and find the channel...I can't give you any more help due to the lack of information (tv brand, etc.)
