The official web site states 302 but that only lists 1 for team sports - doesn't each member get one?

What I am asking is how many actual medals are given out. I understand the medal count but that is not the same as the number of medals given out.

Each member gets a medal, but it only counts as 1 medal in the medal count because it's a medal for that event, not for the competitors.

If you're talking about medals, then yes each member receives a medal. But they were a TEAM for ONE event and only events are counted.

There are individual events and team events. But only ONE medal for each one.
