Ok I think that china drilling side ways to get oil from florida is the dumbest thing, why cant we use it, and please dont tell me we are savering it, because that bull. Thanks for the answeres

Ask the Democrats in Congress..Yesterday they just voted again NOT to let us drill for oil off our coasts while other countries can.  Makes no sense to me either

McCain thinks it is a matter of states rights and the people in Florida do not want to risk their beaches because their livelihood depends on tourism. When Jeb Bush was governor G W Bush also opposed drilling, so they were not developed despite the republican control of the Government for 6 years. Most democrats  are concerned with environmental issues but that is not the reason  oil from Florida has not been developed. If China actually start drilling and causing contamination anyway our policy may change.
