The old man and the sea,character poem.?

only Manolin or santiago character description in a poem of at least 12 lines{like 3 stanzas of 4 lines each}; doesn't have to rhyme,but they do need rich imagery.

at least 1 simile or metaphor.

that's the assignment but i just need ideas that's it not the whole answer. SO PLEASE HELP ME!...

make it descriptive. like for the old man. his body was as strong as the marlin - or whatever fish he was fishing.

describe the loneliness that was in the ocean. the isolation that he felt. how he longed to have the boy next to him. maybe you can say "he was as lonely as the stars above" you know cause they are like billions of miles apart from each other or something corny like that.

thats a tough assignment, ive never written a poem.
