The oldest age at which someone you know has outgrown bedwetting?

Bedwetting among older kids, teens, and young adults is a much more common problem than many people realize.

I'm just wondering how many people here have known someone (whether yourself, a sibling, parent, cousin, child, friend) etc who has continued to struggle with bedwetting at a late age. Without revealing any personal details, how old was the person before "growing out" of the bedwetting problem? Or, if you don't know for sure, how old was the person when you last were aware that they had an accident?

For the record, I'm a young adult and have struggled with bedwetting my whole life -- I'm well aware of the treatments out there and am in fact doing much better now than when I was younger; I'm just wondering how many others out there either have (or had) the same problem, or know someone who has.

My Nephew has had bed wetting problems since as long as I can remember, and hes six now and still has probloms with it.

Well, I think it was 12 or 13 at which point they hit puberty which altered something physically so the problem was no longer there.

Up till six years old, my nephew used pull-ups at night.

  When I was a kid, my best friend's brother was a bed wetter.  I am sure that he was 8-10.   I know from medical education that bed wetting is quite common.  It is usually caused by the individual growing and maturing but the bladder remains immature a little longer.  There are also other causes to the problems.  I know that there are medications out there that reduce bladder spasms and also there are surgical interventions.  It' s nice that you bring this up because there are parents punishing kids who have this problem when in fact there is a medical explanation.   8-10 is the oldest that I know of but I am sure that it can go much further in age than that

I had a friend in high school that wet the bed when a group of us stayed together at another friends house.  It was our senior year.  You could tell it really bothered him, and the rest of us were careful not give him a hard time about it.
