The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. How true is this?

To hate someone must mean you care enough to have an emotion.......

I really dont know what I'm talking about but I would appreciate your views.

Being indifferent means you are not phased by that person at all.  The break up or loss of friendship didn't affect you at all.  With hate though, it means you care enough about that person to make you feel that way--like maybe you wan't to work things out with that person.
