The origin of the bible character "satan"... Where is it in the bible?

The Isaiah 14:12 scripture is about Lucifer, son of the morning... and what ever that verse is about, the rest of the chapter is about the fall of babalon, and has nothing to do with the origin of Satan. Thank you, though... one must take that specific verse completely out of context to assume that it describes the origin of satan.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints has all the answers with Scripture references but, in a nut shell, you and I were spirit children of God (hosts of Heaven) and were sent to earth to be tried and tested. Christ said He would give righteous principles and we would have our free agency to choose. He would pay for the sins of those who repented (changed their ways) and the rest would pay for their own sins, but all would be saved and He would give God the glory.

Satan said he would force obedience and save everyone so he would take the glory. Christ was chosen, so Satan rebelled and was cast down to earth along with a third of the hosts, to become the devil and his angels to try and torment man(opposition is necessary).

I don't believe it's ever specifically laid how how Satan was created.  He was just always part of the Bible.

Job 1:7 "And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."

Satan as the "morning star" and his "fall" has nothing to do with the Bible. It's all about astrology.

Satan's job, from the Bible originally, was God's prosecutor.

You should have watched KPBS last night.  They did an episode on the origins and history of Satan.  He began in Zoroastrian times and was adopted by early Jews into their writings.

The bible is very clear as to where Satan came from. His evil nature started before the garden of Eden and is more rampant today for he knows his time is short.(Rev.20:1-3) As stated below in Isaiah 14:12, his name was Lucifer. He was the highest of the archangels and as Ezekiel 28:12 states, he was Gods main one.  There is no reason to go into an in-depth study and list all the scriptures that pertain to Satan's down fall. Anyone with the least of intelligence can get a bible and a concordance and see for themselves.
