The overall message of "To Every Thing There Is a Season" is ?

A) every human emotion and activity has an appropriate time in life.

B) life is a meaningless cycle of pleasure and pain.

C) humans have been given power over nature, and they should use it wisely.

D) there is no purpose and order in life, and we should not look for one.

PLEASE HELP! I REALLY NEED HELP! Thanks in advance to anyone who helped.

  2. It's not how I would word it, but I would choose A.

    Why I think the others are not right . . .

    B. The fact that it says that there's a time for this and a time for that means that the cycle of life is anything but meaningless.

    C. That's just plain wrong!  People have to live in accordance with nature:  plant seeds at the right time, harvest at the right time, etc.  Grief won't last forever, and neither will joy.  All things must pass.

    D. Again, "To every thing there is a season" means that there is order in life.  "A time to be born, a time to die" strongly suggests purpose.  The lines after the "a time to" part speaks of God's purpose.

    All just in my opinion :-)
