The opening day of the tournament covered the Pool-Play stage, which featured a total of 16 matches. At the end of Pool-Play matches, top eight teams advanced to the quarterfinals on Saturday.
After a spectacular performance on day-1 of the tournament, the Canadians tandems continued with their winning ways on the second day. Samuel Schachter and Maverick Hatch, who were labelled as Canada-1, took on American counterparts James Drost and Steven
Vanderwerp in the first match of quarter-final stage.

the last two sets and claimed the match by 2-1.
In the next match, winning Canadian duo faced off Trinidad’s Fabien Whitfield and Daneil Williams in straight sets. The Trinidad duo failed to penetrate the power of strong spikes and easily gave out the match. The pairing of Schachter/ Vanderwerp won the

Following the footsteps of their country mates, the second team of Canada also did an impressive job in the quarter-finals. The pairing of Joshua Binstock and Martin Reader met LCA’s Gillan Octave and Julien Biscette in the first quarter-final fixture. Canada-2
