  1. I agree with you. Why does brett favre think he can just expect the packers to forget about their plans for rodgers and their future and let a fading star back to start when they dont want him. Hope hes a buccaneer by the end of the week. The Pack wouldn't trade him to the vikes, they have to play them 2wice a year.

  2. On The Bench  I Hope, BUT HE WILL PROBABLY start for the packers Aaron Rodgers desrves the job. My Gosh I'll be glad when this is OVER!

  3. Favre would be a pretty expensive clip board holder at $12 million a year. If the Packers have realy made up their mind to have Aaron Rogers be the starting QB, then Green Bay has no other option than to move him. The only question remaining would be, who could offer the most in return for Favre. I think the Vikings would be the best fit for Favre, but would Green Bay be willing to trade him within the division, and would Tampa Bay be willing to give up enough to make a run at the Superbowl?

  4. Dolphin

  5. i wish something would happen im so tired of hearing about this

it's like reality tv shows, they drag out 30 minutes worth of material into 2 hours

  6. Maybe the press conference will be that McCarthy and Thompson are stepping down so Favre can be the new coach and GM.

  7. Two things, first Favre will NOT be going to Tampa Bay or to Minnesota, it was already stated that he will be playing as a Packer if he succeeds in the competition.  Secondly, I agree with one thing that Favre should have stayed retired.  However the Packers have the authority to choose.  If Favre wants to come back and wants to play that badly I say he should have the same opportunity as the others who have come out of retirement.  So the Packers are trying to be fair not only to Rodgers but to Favre.  You see this is a fair situation for Rodgers because they have the same chance to compete for the starting job.  If Favre does better he will get it, if Rodgers does better he will get the job.  It would only be fair if Favre was told that he could have the job after retiring without giving Rodgers the chance..

  8. No way.He will start for the pack opening day.

  9. farve will just have a sore rear end full of splinter from spending the entire season sitting on the bench...too bad he has alzheimer's and can't remember that he's retired (or should i say retarded)

  10. I say have him take every snap of every pre-season game. Back the line off a bit. Then when hes running scared and hurt a little. Trade him. lol na kidding

  11. I disagree with the statement that favre will play for the pack. The fact that they've negotiated for so long proves there is disagreement, and if one side disagrees, favre will be off the team. They can't put him on the sidelines or Packer fans would flip out on the coaching staff and this whole organization would go down the tubes. They can't have an open competition because if Rogers loses he's out of GB and their building process is over, his contract is up after this year. Their only option is to trade him and let the fans know it was Favre who wanted to leave, not them asking him to.

Given this, Favre can decline any trade offers made. Given this, he won't play for the Bucs. He hates the coaching staff at GB and wants to stick it to them. I see them working something out with the Vikings and blaming it on Favre, if they don't, the GB front office is history

  12. yup if he wanted to play retiring was probably a bad move

  13. he is coming to minnesota
