The pearl on my blackberry pearl is acting weird, Please help!!?

The pearl on my blackberry pearl will not scroll up, al the sudden i grabbed it and it wont scroll up, like even if the pearl moves the phone does not respond, eek i cant really do anything with out being able to move up, please please help!

Take it to your phone provider, and see if they can fix it for you. You might have to pay a fee or something.

its  called  a  trackball  heres  what  i  would do.  be  very  careful

use something small  like a nail file  or an eye glasses repair kit.  pop that  metal ring around your trackball  out. take out the trackball  blow inside the hole  put the ball  back in  and  carefully  put the ring back on.  note  there are  3  teeth that will  connect it  back in place  besure to  put back on  right.  teeth  shld  be   left  right  and bottom it will  snap  right  back   in
