  1. d**n thats racism if you ask me.. Dont they have discrimination rules there? I had to take ethics training for the army and those words would get someone thrown out!! Maybe they are trying to joke with you and fit into the culture? Thats possible depending on how they say it.. I would tell them first  you dont appreciate their words to you and then if that fails tell management about it..;

  2. I would talk to a lawyer, that word is taken very seriously now. Document everything. Have you asked those people to not use that language around you? Maybe they think they are cool w/ you and you are ok with it. If you act ok, then it's not their fault. Do they disrespect you in other ways too?  If they are cool with you and they just say that and you've never said you weren't ok with it, then maybe they think they are a part of "your world" (which I disagree with that stmnt.) But, if you feel disrespected in other ways and you aren't acting like everything is cool when they talk to you like that, then you should take it higher... and legal.

  3. Talk to HR.

  4. complain to your maneger, if it doesn't stop then pack up and move somewhere else. the people doing this could get fired.

  5. Well, you could always find another job, right?

    I don't understand what you stated though, when you said "I wouldn't mind if I heard this from black people because it's OUR word".  Didn't you just say you are half black and half scottish, which is White?

    If white people who are not racist hear slang terms being used in a friendly and jovial manner, they will use it also.  If it is allright to hear "wat up my lil n*gger" coming from black people and not white people, when you yourself are half white, then you are promoting a double standard.  That my friend, is not racism on the part of your co-workers, but yourself.  This is also a good example of someone rejecting half of their culture.  What is wrong with accepting both sides of your heritage from both parents?
