I got a letter saying that they want to take me to China for the summer of 2009 and its for the student ambassadors program. I don't know what it is, what its for, or anything. I heard that it was a rip-off, i don't know what to do it seems pretty cool but how much does it cost, if theres anybody that knows what I'm talking about please lend some information. I'm a high school junior, and how did they choose me? how did they find me and what is this for???? I don't want to enter into something that I might regret

  1. It's not a rip-off, but it's not really what it claims to be either.  It is basically a company that provides sight-seeing tours to high school students that usually include a home-stay, which means you will stay with a family for some of the time you are there.  I went on one many, many years ago and it was great.  But you have to pay for it - it's not a prize or anything.  It costs just as much as any other student tour company.  And there are cheaper ways to spend time abroad if you are interested in that sort of thing.
