I've been looking for a new camera for a while but just can't find the right one for me. Can anyone help?

It must have the following:

- An info-lithium battery (definitely NOT AA batteries!)

- At least five megapixels

- A very quick shutter speed (it must take the photos almost immediatly!)

- An SD card slot (but this is not the most important thing)

- A 'battery life' of at least 100 photos

- Anti-shake (or whatever it's called) facility would be a bonus

Thank you!!!

  1. If you want a camera with a very fast shutter speed and you want digital then you need to get a digital SLR camera.

There are many fine makes of camera  a ranging from Canon Fuji Nikon Olympus Sony Pentax,  it would be wise to choose a model and make that has a good range of lenses,  I prefer Canon but the others are as good.     I would suggest going somewhere like Jessops and see which model suits you best  most these days have 10 mega pixel available and Canon has one with 22 mega pixel

  2. Look here ... there are a lot that fit into your criteria.

  5. I've got a Sony DSC H7 it has everything you state other than it takes a memory stick pro duo. I love it!

  6. Hi Tom,

Based around what you are looking for I would suggest that the Canon IXUS75 is the camera for you. It's really stylish, and has a sturdy, extra strong metal case. It has a Lithium battery, 7.1 million megapixel resolution, it takes an SD memory and has continuous shooting mode allowing you to take pictures even when the shutter button is depressed.

The IXUS also features Face Detection Technology that can find human faces in the picture adjust the focus and exposure to ensure that people are not blurred, over exposed or in deep shadow.

It has an extra large 3" LCD screen, and has great battery life. It can be picked up quite cheaply now too, at around £125.

Hope this helps the search for the right camera!
