The perfect spot in Puerto Vallarta Mexico?

I am going with my husband to Puerto Vallarta Mexico in November, but since I have never been, I would love get some info on where the perfect spot would be for us. What we are looking for is a hotel with a BEAUTIFUL view, and not so busy. I dont want to look out the window and see 50 hotels outside, but mostly just to see mountains and beauituful views. I see that there are many zones, but judging by the pictures, I think the south zone would be the best for us. Does anyone have any ideas on a hotel or private condos with amazing views?

Conchas chinas is a nice spot, but I've heard it's expensive. I stayed at the Buenaventura Hotel & Beach club which is pretty close to downtown and it has an ocean view. You have the option to buy an all inclusive program and the food is quite good. It's not a very luxury hotel but for the same reason it's not too crowded -- it has all of the basic amenities, right on the beach (we also had a turtle come to the beach at night to lay her eggs right in front of the hotel!!), service is ok and it's really close to downtown. When you take a parachute tour from this zone you have some GORGEOUS views of many hotels, the cruise ship terminal, and the mountains behind the town..... I wish I could go there soon again!! Have a great time...

There are a few options for You.

A) The best is the Four Seasons Hotel in Punta Mita, 45 Minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, on the corner of the bay.

( Expensive )

B) The other side is YELAPA, 3 or 4 different hotels, one up in the mountains. Yelapa is south of Vallarta only accessible by the sea.

( The Mountain hotel also is expensive but really first class )

C) Nuevo Vallarta, about 25 Hotels, long Beach, a lot of free space, Marina, Golfcourses and so on.

D) There is one Hotel between Nuevo Vallarta and Punta Mita, it is the Palladium. This is also a very nice hotel in the nature.

E) Again South of Vallarta You find the Dreams Hotel. Very private, close to the mountains, private Beach, 5 Minutes to the Vallarta Center.

In Your case I would go to the dreams. It is the best combination of all aspects.

I went to Nuevo Vallarta just on the outscirts of Puerto Vallarta and there were just hotels on the beach.The turtles came ashore in the evening to lay their eggs outside our hotel and the pelicans were flying along the shoreline

When I went to Puerta Vallarta on vacation with my girlfriend last year, we stayed at the Sol Melia hotel.  It was all inclusive (all you can eat, drink) and it was the way to go.  I recommend that no matter where you stay.  As far as the hotel, it had amazing views of the ocean, and if that is not your thing, a beautiful garden too.  The pool was amazing as was the beach.  We definitely had a wonderful time.  (there were a lot of kids though :(  )

Well I would suggest the Sheraton, it is beautiful and quite, great pools and walking distance too downtown, the rooms are beautiful have always stayed on the 3rd floor with a balcony. I have made a friend in the reservation dept her name is Vicki email her direct and she maybe able to give you a good [e-mail] I don't suggest aL, as you get tired of the food.

There are great places too eat if you love seafood eat at Tino's and also 8 tostados. I love Pipis it is a fun place.

Take the Rythems of the night tour it is romantic and fun swim with the dolphins too, way too much fun.
