  1. I don't know what does it mean "binomial for length"... but my guess is:

    6x + 6 = perimeter, where perimeter of a rectangle = 2 * (width + length)

    => 6x + 6 = 2 * (x + length)

    => 6x + 6 = 2x + 2l

    => 6x - 2x + 6 = 2x - 2x + 2length

    => 4x + 6 = 2length

    => (4x + 6)/2 = length

    => 2x + 3 = length
