The person i used to rent from is renting illegally?

My old landlord never got a new certificate saying they can rent their property, also in the 5 years i rented there i never got a renters rebate. my ex lives there still and said they're trying to say they gave me the renters rebate info (lying) and that they can only give the forms to one person so they wont give any forms to my ex about it.they've pulled the same stuff before. i KNOW they dont report the rent they get on taxes. illegal right? what can i do to bust them out on all this?

Call the town hall and inform them, they will be looking to collect money from them. Keep in mind your ex will be forced to move if you do rat them out.
