The phrase bite your arm off?

how would you use it?

like i know what it means

but can anyone give me a sentence example

um... I have heard it used in an unkind way...

"He was so ugly that If you woke up in bed after a party with your arms around him, you'd bite your arm off rather than wake him up.."

you would say to exagerate someone getting angry at you.

for example:

person 1 : do you think i should tell mum about it.

person 2: i wouldnt she would bite your arm off if she found out.

or you could say:

person 3: i told mum about ruining my trousers and she  bit my arm off.
