The pickups on a gibson les paul studio is the 490R and 498T,?

the real question is why is there such a price difference between the les paul supreme and studio when the pickups are the exact same? or are they the same cos on gibson.com they say that the pickups are the same

  1. Pickups are probably identical to the nth degree.

    Usually on a higher $ guitar it's the wood... good wood is very hard to find, and costs quite a bit more. The benefits are going to be better sustain and complexity of tone. If it doesn't seem like it would be worth it, then it probably won't be, to you.

    Me, while I love the way it sounds, I don't love it enough to buy it. =)  My guitars need to be able to be broken, still, at this point in my life. Gigging is rough, y'know?
