My 27" Advent TV HT2751A is having issues. We were watching it fine this morning, then we put in a DVD and the vertical edges are now concaving in. The left side is less prominent than the right, but both sides are definitely going. The effected area is just pure black. The picture in the center does not seem to be changed. We love this TV, and while it isn't a flat panel tv (it is a flat screen), it has MUCH better picture than any flat panel being sold out there. We would really love to save this television if possible.
I also have the exact same problem with my Advent HT2751A which only started recently, so it makes me wonder if we purchased our TV's around the same time (12/04). I don't know if it's related but my TV is also experiencing a problem where it needs to "warm up" for several minutes (perhaps as many as ten) before the picture comes in. For the first few second the TV goes through a series of flashing green lines all over the screen, then settles down into a blue screen until the picture flickers into view.
I would like to think the two problems are linked, but the warm up problem has been there for almost a year now, and the "inward curve" is a new problem.
