The plant from my Grandma's funeral is dying...how do I save it?

I got a little house plant from my grandma's funeral several months ago. It came just potted in moss....I repotted it and every since then it has been slowly dying. There are still some green parts but most of the leaves have dried up and turned brown. I have been removing all the dead leaves. This plant does better inside and out of direct sunlight. Would it be possible for me to clip a leaf and try to create a whole other plant from it...like you can do with ferns or aloe vera plants? I need some advice on how to keep my poor plant alive. It really means alot to me...thanks!

  1. When you replanted it was the roots tightly wound up?If so,give it a hand and try replanting again. When I replant,I loosen the root ball, then shake dirt over the bottom. Then I sit the pot in the sink and wash the leaves and dirt good.I spray it.Be sure your new pot has drainage. That way you can just sit it in the sink and let the water soak thru the  bottom....
