The agent of Iago Aspas has dismissed the rumours that suggested the player will part his way with Celta Vigo when the transfer window opens in January
Aspas has recently attracted much attention after he displayed impressive performances for Celta Vigo in the Primera Division this year. It was reported that many clubs, including Atletico Madrid and the Premier League side, Swansea
City, have shown interest in the player.
Earlier in this month the club president, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Mourino, admitted that he received many offers for the player but reassured everyone that they will not let him go anywhere since he is an indispensable figure for survival of the
club.
Now, the forward’s agent, Felix Gende, has also confirmed that there were many offers for the player. However, he ruled out the possibility of the Aspas leaving the club this time around.
“Clearly there are many clubs following Iago this season. But it is impossible for him to move to another club in December.”
Gende also mentioned that Aspas currently wants to help his team stay in the Primera Division. The agent also stated that they will see if other offers come for the player in June since that is the time when more players are signed.
“He is focused on helping his team achieve permanence in the first division. In June, when more signings are taking place, God will decide.”
Finally, Gende concluded his remarks on some words for the club president and said that he should just focus on the sports side of things at the moment. He also added that he doesn’t know if the 25-year-old forward has received
any offers at the moment.
“They should focus only on sport, as they have just 15 points and need 30 more to stay in the division. I guess he was referring to the market last summer, when they preferred not to sell. Nowadays I don’t know if the club has
received any offers for Iago as they haven’t told us anything.”
Celta Vigo are currently on the verge of the relegation zone. They are sitting on the 17th position with just 15 points.
