“The playoffs have started for us,” says New York Giants’ defensive end Justin Tuck – NFL News
As New York Giants prepare to face the unbeaten Green Bay Packers in the week 13 game of the National Football League current season on Sunday, the players and coaches are considering this encounter as crucial as any playoff-game.
Giants are ranked second in the National Football Conference East division and Dallas Cowboys have a complete one-game advantage over them. Cowboys have to face relatively weaker opponents in the next few games, whereas Giants
have hard challenges to face. Failing to win might close the playoff-doors for them, and this is why they are committed not to take any game lightly.
Defensive end Justin Tuck thinks that there is no room for error now and said that the playoffs have started for Giants.
"We'll keep fighting," Tuck said in an interview. "There are some issues we have to get fixed. This is a playoff ... The playoffs have started for us. We haven't given us any margin for error."
Giants were leading the NFC East division a few weeks ago, but they have faced defeat against San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints in the week 10, 11 and 12 respectively. They have won a total of six
games this season and lost five. They have five more games to play, and they should win all of them to keep the playoff-hopes alive.
Justin admits that Giants did get strayed from the winning track, but he does not want to stretch the losing streak to four. He believes that Giants still have a strong chance to make it to the playoffs.
"I understand that this is a season where things haven't gone our way in the last couple of weeks," he said. "One game could be the difference maker in a season. Hopefully we can go out and shock the world. If that happens we are
right back where we want to be."
Meanwhile, Giants coach Tom Coughlin has admitted that Packers will not prove to be easy opponents and said that his team is going to prepare as hard as it can. Talking to media on Tuesday, he acknowledged that the competition
is very tough. However, he also said that his team is capable of overcoming the obstacles.
