The point system in Yahoo answers?

What's up with it? Who agrees that it's totally stupid and pointless??

Why on earth would you say that it' pointless? that seems to me to be a contradiction in terms.  If you don't know you get 2 points for an answer, you lose 5 points for a question, and I don't know what it costs to lose for a question that is reported, but it costs some points I guess.

No it is not like that, By doing yahoo answer u can gain knowledge about each feild.

Yes it is pointless, you receive nothing for your points except to go to the next level.  Which to most on here is a game to see who can get there faster.  The real point is just to give good answers and help someone but that was lost along the way when this became a game!!!
