The points.?

What can I do with the points that I earn on this Yahoo Answers? Is there really a point in earning them??

Points simply promote participation. They allow you to ask, answer, vote even more! To be able to brag some. December of 2006, we did get stuff if we signed up, depending on our levels, like coffee mugs, sweaters, hats, but now any promos seem to be for anybody over Level 1 in the US.

The only thing you can do is ask questions, that costs points. Also, violating yahoo!s policies costs you points, but I wouldn't recommend dong that.  It's mostly a status thing to get points and get a higher level.  You can answer more questions when you have more points though.
