The current market price for bulk aluminum is about $1.25 per lb.  The market price for scrap stocks depends on how pure the scrap is, and how easy it is to recover the aluminum from it.  Clean aluminum bulk scrap, such a pistons, wheels, stripped wire, and manufacturing scraps might sell as high as $1.10 per lb, but not much less than $1.00 per lb.  Beverage cans are made with a plastic lining and printing, which adds a lot of weight to the aluminum.  Also, this makes it harder to recover the aluminum.  Beverage cans might fetch anywhere from $0.60 to $0.75 per lb.  Aluminum foil tends to sell at a very low scrap price, only around $0.30 per lb, but sometimes as low as $0.15 per lb.

I would suggest calling around to a few scrap yards.  Keep in mind how many pounds you have to sell, and that gas costs about $3.25 per gal right now.

contact your local scrap yard ,I get .50-.65 per lbs in Ontario for pop cans and .75-1.00 for clean aluminium window frames
