I noticed today that the price of gas here had gone up another ten cents since I last saw it. Then I read the news and it said that oil had gone down. So...

The price of oil goes up and the price of gas goes up.

The price of oil goes down and the price of gas goes up.

Why is that?

Thanks.

  1. They TAX Oil! The fed is full of idiots! Bush is one of them! Dam republicans don't know how to use there head! I'm surprise our country isn't falling apart yet. This country is a leaning tower of pizza waiting to fall over.

  2. the price of oil that you see today is the price that oil companies sell it for, today. however, if you have a contract to buy oil at today's price, it will be delivered in the future. maybe in a week or a month. so a change in oil price is not immediately reflected in the price of gas we pay.
