  1. In this book the prince is a ruthless individual who will stop at nothing to obtain the end result he seeks.

He basically has a kill or be killed stab or be stabbed mentality with a very sophisticated over view.

The character embodies the very definition of a sociopath!

  2. anything and everything necessary.

  3. Use fear

  4. Machiavelli does not dispense entirely with morality nor advocate wholesale selfishness or degeneracy. Instead he outlines his definition of, for example, the criteria for acceptable cruel actions (it must be swift, effective, and short-lived). Machiavelli also does not miss the irony in the fact that good can come from evil actions.

  5. Enforce the law and make examples out of criminals for the public to see the consequences of their actions.

Other good books = "The 48 Laws of Power" by Greene and Elffers, and "The Art of War" by Sun-tzu.

  6. Go read it. It's not long. And your interpretation will serve you far better than ours.
