The problem with NSW is............?

the coach! craig bellamy has to much of an avested intrest in the QLD side,billy slater, greg inglis, isreal falau, cam smith, mick crocker......... thats 5 players that play for the storm that he doesn't want to get injured. so bellamys not going to say to willie mason or paul gallen go and smash 1 of there play makers like cam smith, is he? NO! he's not, just like graham murrey wouldnt say it in the last 2 years coz he had an avested intrest in the likes of jonathen thursten and co...! sometimes you just really need to smash 1 of the oppositions playmakers to get in the game and our coach wont give those instructions! i have been a NSW fan my hole life and this predicament really sux! i would much prefer to see a coach with no or very little interest in QLD like.... brian smith, nathen brown, laurie daley even gus gould!

so what are your thoughts on this topic?

i agree with the first answer... and its not all about 'smashing' the opposition.. its about playing a good, tough game of footy nd coming a way with the win.. QLD 1,2 n 3

I think the opposite of Bellamy. He knows his players weaknesses and taught them all their plays. He can read them like a book. I think it is a huge advantage to the Blues. Can't wait for game 1.

It will be seen in the first game whether he lets Willie have a go.  Until then we can't really judge.  If bellamy is as good as he supposed to be NSW should win.

I just want to see what sort of animal hold that he will come up on the qld team.  A cane toad leg stretch or body squish?  Whatever it is, it will be warts and all!

Actually no, I think having Bellamy as a coach is a good thing. He knows all the strengths and weaknesses of most of the QLD side (being the Storm players of course) so I think what he would do is work NSW around that. of course he's not going to get Willie Mason to "smash" them but he could just play to their weaknesses etc.

Bring back Tommy Raudonikis with the infamous "cattledog" call. Tommy's gameplan would read as follows,

1. Slap each other in the face

2. Slap yourself in the face

3. Smash QLD

4. Smash QLD

5. Smash QLD

6, 7, 8, 9 - same as 3, 4, 5

10. Have a beer after the game.

agree with some of the others, having bellamy as a coach is a good thing at lest he knows how most of the qld side plays so he will make the nsw side hit their weakness. The reason he isnt going to say smash them is cause the game shouldnt be about smashing a player, it should be about playing the game and winning. Going out to smash a player might just hurt your game in itself..

even as a qld supporter i think you are correct, but he also knows his storm players very well. i think nsw should adopt qld approch and have an outsider as a coach,they would be better off. bellamy is a good coach but not for origin.
