  1. As soon as the big bang happened then time began,we humans just put a name to it.

  2. of course, because our mind can work with these numbers.

  3. Yeah right.   I invented time so I could die.

The Logos does not exist because man names it.

Man names it because it exists.

  4. Only in the same sense that a mile, a foot, a yard or a metre are man made constructs. Would you say that distance is man made?

  5. time cannot catch you u can catch time

  6. A difficult question. I'll dodge the measurement bit, as others have answered it. Obviously the units of time are arbitrary, as with any measurement.

You talk about the "progression of time" rather than time itself. Time seems to be rather basic to physics. If time didn't exist, physicists would have to invent it as an explanation for the variable t that pervades their equations. As t increases, various things happen as described by the various equations. We regard this as events unfolding with the passage of time.

To us, clocks and watches and the steady tick of time seem completely natural, but to animals they must seem incomprehensible. Possibly this is the way it used to be for us humans too, and may still be in primitive societies.

But where does this feeling of "progression" of time come from? Is it just we living beings that feel it, or is it also something basic? And why does it flow from past to future, rather than the other way around? Is this just a subjective feeling or is it a basic property of the universe?

No one has answered these questions satisfactorily, though much has been written on them over the centuries by theologists, philosophers and physicists.

  7. No, the progression of time is not a man made construct.  The measurement of time's passage is.

(drop this silly subject and take science)

  8. well as the months go by and the years go by ..

things change and to me thats proof enough that there is time.

but it can be interpreted either way.

  9. the sun came up, the sun went down, even before the dawn of man (haha), call it what you will its still there

  10. These are just the tools we use to measure time.

Time progresses regardless of whether or not we measure it.
