A guy I really care for started saying another woman had a better body than me in front of our friends one night. He was really angry. When I asked another man friend of ours why he did that,my other friend said that he might actually be in to me/ fancy me.If that is the case, why insult me?Bear in mind this man is in his forties

  1. He might be trying to make you jealous because he feels you have let him down or rejected him. If you "care" for him, as in you want to go out with him, then tell him how you feel cos otherwise you are hurting him.

  2. we cant answer the psychology of that unless we know details about your relationship.  if he is motivated by hurting you, then what events in your relationship would have precipitated that?  we don't know enough.  Are you still seeing him, or did you break up?  Was it a bitter break up?  What were the circumstances of the break up?  All of these are critical details before assuming he is doing this intentionally against you.

  3. I agree with the comment that there is not enough information here. Certainly not enough to make a judgment about his real motives.
