The question about Irish charities is a serious offer.?

Question

I approached St Vincent de Paul....they didn't want to do any work at all...just wanted the money....sorry this is a genuine oppertunity for a charity who are really active for a good cause

you don't say what work,ask a local church they will have youth groups or the like I'm sure if genuine they will be only to glad to advise or take your money,,but if you have this money to donate why have they got to work for it ,surely then it becomes a wage and not a charitable donation...

I think it depends on the work they'd have to do...I know the Irish Wildlife Trust are pretty active and would probably be more than willing to do some work. They already do run some courses, information days, that sort of thing.

I know that any of the SPCAs would also be thrilled with any money that anybody could give, and some of them do fantastic work (I know my local one does, anyway) and they rely very, very heavily on donations from the public and sponsorship. Have a look at the site below. It has a section for jobs and volunteering, so if you look there you might get some idea about the work they do and that sort of thing. There's also a link to campaigns, so again, you might see something you're interested in that could donate to. Good luck, anyway. I hope this helped a bit.
