The "Victoria"???

Okay, so you know how the Victoria (magellan's ship) returned to Spain with a cargo that they sold for $330,000 or whatever? then how how their profit was only $300?

the cost of crew pay they all got a share of the loot. especially the captain and owners investors. Then the repairs and replacements for the ships lost which were several. This quickly eats up the winnings don't ya think?

Although the Victoria returned with a cargo of Spices the expedition financed five ships.  Only the Victoria returned and it was barely afloat with constant pumping.  What equipment that wasn't missing was worn out or broken.

It was fortunate the initial investment was recovered but the real treasure lay in the fact it had circumnavigated the world.  That was priceless information for future trade.
