The rangers? the nhl has to kick them out quick. They might get Sundin and Forsburg?

The NHL does not want to kick out the Rangers, they want the MSG and Rangers management groups fired over the recent monopoly lawsuit.  

And haven't the Rangers proven over the years that regardless of star power they can't seem to win?  They try so hard to be the Yankees except they can't win it all.

I have been watching the Rangers for over 60 + years and their stupidity often amazes me. Glen Sather is brain dead and forgets that constantly signing free agents does not guarantee a Stanley Cup.In the ten plus years Sather has been with the Rangers they have only made the playoffs a few times.Last year he finally gave a chance to some young players but he still likes the old timers who are ready for social security.

I didn't read the article, but the post just makes stuff up... I'm assuming Larry brooks wrote that article, and it was probably just a pipe dream for him.  He's awful.  I'll look it up and recomment here.

EDIT:  as expected, it was larry brooks.  take everything he says with a grain of salt.  Even so... I read his articles from the last three days, and there is nothing at all about forsberg in any of them... only about sundin.  In which case... is sundin any different than shanny?  (except he's more expensive).  I'm not in favor of the rangers signing sundin, but there are definitely worse moves sather could (and will) make.

I am a die hard Rangers fan and they will be alright because hopefully they will get Jagr a contract and they are looking at Ryan Malone and Marian Hossa so they will be fine

How is this going to make them good?  its right up their ally, overpay the overaged and out-of-their-prime stars.  forsberg will be out half the season, so who cares, and if mats(who i think is staying a leaf) does move to the rangers, their defense will be so horrible since their will be no cap room to sign any good defensman(assuming that they sign japr too) their offense is fine.  they roll 3 good lines that score and their 4th line is energy, but their defense is sloppy, not many offensively gifted guys besides staal and rosival(who might leave) and when you go to one of their games, the ranger fans are always picking on te defenses

First in the ny post it said that they would sign just sundin, (it never said anything about forsberg) and they would sign jagr and that would be the first line and they would have to move drury to wing. I believe it wouldnt be a terrible thing to bring in sundin. Last season he had 78pts in 74 games. if he could get jagr to score more the team would be even better. They also said that they would have enough money because jagr and sundin are over 35 they could put in bonuses into the contract so they could sign them cheaper.

forsberg is useless. his foot will keep him out half the season, and Sundin only has a couple  years left. The Rangers will be OK. they dont need to go anywhere.

they are both old players, forsberg wont do anything and sundin will be the only force the rangers will have, since they are lossing jagr and shannahan

Good Luck with either of them Rangers fans.  Sundin can't make up his freckin mind to save his life.  I have heard his preferred choice would be Montreal, Detroit and now New York so far this week.  He might end up wanting to play for the Panthers next. Who knows.

Forsberg is a great hockey player. In the three games he plays per year because he misses the other 79 due to injuries.  The guy isn't healthy and is a death sentence to your team salary.

The Rangers are excellent in net, have decent fowards (please resign Avery), btu lack Defense.  They should be focusing on D-Men this offseason which they probably are.  I don't trust c**p I read in the NY Post or in most newspapers or magazines anymore especially those in a teams hometown.
