I found a poll asking "Do you think China did a good job of hosting the 2008 Summer Games?" 62% said yes, 25% said not bad, 8% SAID NOT REALLY, 5% SAID NOT AT ALL.

Now the point of this question is really the fact that people actually voted that China did a "not at all good job" and "not really good job"....., wth! thats so untrue. they did a definately SUPERB GREAT JOB. Look at their ceremonies and thats the proof!

So I suppose those 8% and 5% votes were just haters.

Agree?

  1. I agree. Many people are saying bad stuff about China, some true, some not, but are overlooking the superb job of the Olympics.

  2. I think they did an excellent job.

Most people who say China did a bad or terrible job just say that because they hate China in general. It either has nothing to do with the Olympics or their feelings are just biased that way because of their dislike for the country.

  3. China definitely did a good job. There's no doubt about it.

Here's a couple of things to consider about other people's opinions.

    1) Some people are racist. So they will never acknowledge or accept another country/culture for doing good.

    2) Some people are just brainwashed by biased media and/or bad news that's presented to them. Some want to believe bad news so badly that they accept whatever is spoon fed to them.

    3) Some people are just against whatever is different from them culturally, language wise etc. Some people are just negative toward anything that's not like them.

Also, for the most part people are complainers. So many people see the glass half empty rather than half full.

Just wait for the next president. It'll only be a matter of time before people are complaining and giving their "gripes" about the new president.

Over all China did and exquisite and extraordinary job. The people were nice, friendly and accomodating and they spent so much money to make this olympics beautiful and memorable.

  4. Good job, opening and closing went smoothly, competition were exciting and fierce, atheletes/ family/ tourists had a good time, even local Chinese residents were making effort to welcome visitors.

Of course there are some people who would complain about anything China does.  Since the collapse of Soviet, these people felt the loss, and now they have a new target.

  5. I think china did an excellent job, they will be so hard to beat! I dont think thatl happen, especially when we saw the type of handover that London came up with (cringe).

  6. O yes!! Just go to the youtube.com and click open ceremony of Olympics 2008 and read some comments about the China ceremonies... You will be surprised, but almost all of the comments are negative!! That China did a poor job, and blah blah blah... Honestly to say, I was shocked. I didn't know ppl can envy that much that they will go ahead and say such things about China.

My opinion: Beijing Olympics 2008 did a super job!! And it would take someone and something to overdo them.

  7. A plus and a score of 100 isn't enough to describe Beijing's hosting of the 2008 Olympics.  Sure, it wasn't perfect, BUT they had some great facilities, and a very well organized games!
