“The real challenge is still to come”, says Fernando Alonso
The 29-year-old star Formula 1 racer of Ferrari team, Fernando Alonso is of the view that the remaining four races are a challenge for him, as he has to push his limits to get near to the championship leader Mark Webber.
It is to be remembered that the Spaniard is currently displaying the best of his racing skills, and has won the Italian and Singapore Formula 1 race and is just 11 points behind the leader Webber. His recent performance is being considered as one of the
best performances from him.
In a very recent interview the 29-year-old said that the time is very crucial and he has to give his full to get near to Webber in the points table. He added that this is the most difficult time for him as now he is looking forward to clutch each and every
possibility of snatching a victory.
Only four races are left in the season and the veteran racer is of the view that the remaining part of the season will be more excited and challenging as every driver will have to show his best to get the best results for him and his team.
The current ongoing season of Formula 1 is, no doubt, very thrilling as currently 5 drivers are competing close to claim the title of the year. The dynamic duo of the team McLaren, the Briton Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, Red Bull team’s Sebastian Vettel
and Ferrari’s driver Alonso are within twenty five points of Webber.
The recent marvellous performances by the two-time world champ Fernando Alonso has given him a very strong boost and now he is eyeing to overtake the leader Mark Webber. While talking about the fact Alonso expressed his thoughts very confidently and told
the media that he is very satisfied with the way he has performed, and his Ferrari team is backing him up quite well. He said that everyone is happy with the Sunday’s win, and now they are hoping to snatch the victory in the upcoming races as well.
Alonso has shortened the lead of Webber; it is now very much possible for him to overtake the current leader in a victorious manner by winning the upcoming races. While talking about the Webber’s lead the 29-year-old Spaniard said that Webber is a great
driver and his skills cannot be questioned. He added that we are not leading the table so that means that we have to work hard to get closer and closer to our desired targets.
Total five drivers are within five points of Webber and Alonso is very well aware of the fact. While answering to the question the ace driver said that the situation can change at any time, as all the top five drivers can be considered the contenders for
the title of the season. He added by saying that the current span is the real challenging moment for all the top five drivers, and we have to stay focused for the future races.
Currently the two-time world champion Alonso is looking forward for the race in Abu Dhabi and is of the view that the victory in Abu Dhabi will drag him near to the title of the season. The Spaniard won the first race of the season in March in Bahrain but
after that he missed the winning touch and seemed struggling with his driving form. But Alonso came back strong in Monza and Singapore and outclassed his rivals and showed his dominance with class.
The wins at Monza and Singapore have given Alonso a very strong momentum to race in Abu Dhabi. His performance is very overwhelming for the Ferrari team but it is certainly very frustrated for all the other rivals as well.
