Okay, there is akways that sleeper that no one thinks about that no one even looks at. There is one team in particular that has been taking critisism ever since they became a franchise in 2001. The date should already spark the team into your minds...Houston.

I believe that the Houston Texans are going to sneak up on some people, no on really thinks highly of this team, altough, there are some extraordinary stats for some players on the team.

Matt Schaub- had 66.4% passes completed last year, the top five best of any NFL QB last year, not bad for coming off a shoulder injury.

Offensive Line- Alllowed only 22 Sacks last year, a little above average compared to the rest of the NFL.

DeMeco Ryans-Has had the highest amount of tackles in the NFL since the 2006 season, and is probably the best quiet defensive player in the NFL. He had 127 tackles last year.

Mario Williams-Had 14 sacks last year, 3rd in the NFL last season, and 8 of those came in December, and in total 10 of those came in the last 7 games.

Andre Davis-Had three kick returns for TD's last year, two vs the potent Jags.

Owen Daniels-Had a nice quiet year with 768 yards receiving and three TD's, not a Jason Witten, but he has started out looking like great TE.

Kevin Walter-Had 800 yards and 4 TD's last season, a undersized white guy many people thought couldn't do much.

Andre Johnson-Had 851 yards and 8 TD's....in only 7 games, he was out the first part of the season, he's projected to have a 1500 yard 14 TD season, more if he hits post season...

Offense-Not bad, they were ranked the 11th best passing team in the league with a beat up Matt Schaub and a backup Sage Rosenfels, and were ranked 12th in the league in total points.

These are just some quiet stats that no one really hears about. The Texans can be a potent team especially on the offensive side of the ball. Kevin Walter, Andre Johnson and Andre Davis make up a nice receiving core along with Jacoby Jones and Owen Daniels at TE. The offensive line has gotten a great fix with Alex Gibbs as their coach and with solid players, they will be great as they run the ball more. Matt Schaub is going to be a great sleep at QB and the Texans might have the best depth at QB with Sage Rosenfels at backup. On the defensive side, stars DeMeco Ryans, Mario Williams, Omobi Okoye, and Dunta Robinson come into mind. This is a young team, and many young players make up this team, this is possibly the youngest team in the NFL when it comes to age as well as a franchise. I am a fan of this team so I show lots of optimism and take critisism as well, but I see this team doing lots in the future, maybe not this year, but in the next two or three years....we'll see. Comment? Agree, Disagree? I am up for anything.

  1. No offense, but thats the most unnecessarily long question I've ever seen haha.

I think Baltimore has a chance to sneak up on some people.  Probably not enough to get to the playoffs, but this season already looks like a complete disaster for them, but there's still a lot of talent there that could lead to a few big upsets (Pittsburgh again) when teams look past them.

  2. I disagree! People know about the Texans now and they're good. They aren't the sleepers this yr. It's Miami Dolphins! That's right, this team is pretty good. A sleeper is when people don't know how good a team is. Everyone thinks this team will go 3-13 or something. But, I think that won't happen. Only time will tell, but watch out for these Dolphins. If they played how they played in the preseason, they will win games.

  3. RAIDERS

  4. Agree 100%.I have picked them to shock a few people.Dont think they will be any type of power house. But I can see a respectable 9-7,8-8,season.There conference will make it hard for them to win to many yet. They will finish bove Tennessee and maybe get wild card.So I wonder how many people still think They were idiots for not taking Bush.Looks like a solid decision from here

  5. i agree, but watch the Titans and Cardinals as well
