Tandoori masala or smoked paprika will give it that deep red color from all good Indian food markets

The coloring is artificial.

The spices are somewhat a subdued orange if you don't add food coloring.    I don't bother with the coloring when I make it at home.

The vibrant red of tandoori you get in shops or restaurants is artificial, but when you make tandoori at home, the closest thing you can get to red is bright orange and that's by adding paprika.
