Question:

The religious right?

Why do we always hear about the religious right, yet democrats (the left) are also church going people yet we never hear about the religious left? Are they somehow more enlightened or what? In my church there are people from both left and right, but only the right gets blasted in a religious sense.

Why is that?

  1. Because the religious right believe they are "right" and everyone else is wrong.

  2. Since the media is predominately liberal, they usually focus on the opposing viewpoints in terms of negativity.  Whenever an idea that coincides with the media's bias is presented, it is in much more agreeable terms.

  3. The right would like to have an official established church (in direct conflict with the First Amendment, BTW); they don't separate religion and politics.  The left does not feel the need to have the government enforce the principles of their church(es)....religion is religion, and politics is politics.

  4. We are all from the same cloth just different collors. But good ol Jesus is I guess is a true right winger.

  5. The religious right sees things such as abortion as being wrong, where someone on the left may personally feel it is wrong for them, but can't say that it is wrong for you. The right wants prayers in schools whereas the left feels that it shouldn't be. The right feels that if you let the rich keep more of their money they will spend it creating more jobs. The left feels they should pay their share of taxes and let the goverment distrubute the money.

  6. the "so called" religious right is not the power house it used to be.

  7. Its typically because the "left" is driven by logic, not their desire to blast people with their religious views

  8. i really donno i want to know what is religious right
