I heard a theory today that I agree with and am looking to gain insight about any help would be appreciated.

According the the Art of War by Sun Tzu, you should display your greatest strength as a weakness.

Are the Right Wingers and the Republicans doing this with the Media?

Most of the media is owned and controlled by the right wing so would this not make sense?

No matter who you listen to whether it is Limbaugh or Rhodes they say the media favors the other side.

  1. There's a difference between a talk show and the news.  Don't get them confused.  The news is certainly liberal.  For news media to be biased borders socialism and communism.  I think its just getting too late for you- go to sleep.

  2. you watch the media latley they do...

  3. The owners of the media may favor republicans, but they are just the corporate shareholders. They aren't the editors and the journalists that decide what to air and how to report the news. And it's no secret that the vast majority of journalists, editors, and anchors are liberal. So in essence, the media is liberal despite the fact that they may be owned by right wingers. Although I've never seen any solid proof the owners of the media are right wing, I think the liberals just say that to counter the claims of liberal bias in the media. Rupert Murdoch is by no means a conservative, he's just out to make money, in fact he has made contributions to both Hillary's and Obama's campaign.

There are numerous studies, going back to the 1980's that show the liberal bias in the media. Look them up.

  4. That is an interesting observation.  The media and politicians are predominately controlled by an elite group.  Eisenhower called them the Industrial Complex and other conspiracy theorists have other names for them.  They pull the strings of both parties.  It is almost certain they will maneuver the media to position their real candidate.

  5. Hallelujah! Yep, it's the 'liberal media' that tell us they are liberal, and that there's no alternative to the free market, state healthcare doesn't work, and protesting against the war is anti-American.

Noam Chomsky explained it very well in his book Manufacturing Consent. "Once you define the media as liberal you limit the debate" he said. The truth is that both the Democratic and Republican parties are right wing, and policy wise there is very little difference between them. The differences are apolitical and highly exaggerated.

If you define the Democrats as socialist, the word socialism just lost it's meaning.
