Lately the right side of my face has been going numb.I can move it and still make expressions but it feels like pins and needles. Like when your foot falls asleep from sitting on it.Its usually accompanied by a headache too. About 2 years ago I had a very mild case of Shingles on the right side of my face. Could this be a lasting side effect of that or something more serious? I am 27 years old and have NO health insurance.

  1. Could be Bells Palsy.  Which isnt dangerous, but it can be really an irritating problem.  So shingles probably play a part, but you also may have some other issue.  Also I had a pinched neck nerve once and my face tingled.

  2. oops i didnt mean to slap you that hard

  3. I'm not trying to scare you, but you sound like a person before having Bell's palsy. You need to get to the doctor, asap!!

no bill is worth your life!!

  4. Sounds like what I had.  First my tongue felt like I had burned, then the pins and needles, then my lips felt like I got a shot of novacaine at the dentist, then my eyes wouldn't blink.

The first time this happened I went to the ER, it was at a teaching school and all the students came into the room and were poking me with pins!  How embarassing!

The second time it happened, as soon as my tongue started to feel that way I went to my doctor... said he couldn't do any thing because he didn't know what was happening, Hello!  I did.

    It was Bells Palsy.

    Lasted about 2-3 months.

Had to put in eye drops and tape my eye shut at night, because I couldn't blink.

I was given cortisone shots for the first time and was put on prednisone the second time.

    I did regain full function.

The first time was 25 years ago, the second time was 20 years ago.  They didn't know that much about Bells Palsy then, but have learned alot more, a friends husband had it three years ago and he's fine now too.

  5. I've ever ment the similiar thing -- still a little bit annoy, here is the resource tha help me out.http://health-insurance.tips4free.info/h...

  6. I'd be worried they're minor strokes...talk to a doctor about this, please, as they could eventually lead to your death if that is what they are.

  7. OMG 1st get health insurance, it could be shingles effects or it could be a stroke!

  8. could be heart problems or high blood pressure get it checked out soon

  9. It sounds to me like Bell's Palsy...

Some doctors believe that the same virus responsible for Shingles could also cause Bell's Palsy.

You should probably try and see a doctor about it, because Bell's Palsy leads to the paralysis of that side of the face.  Not to scare you, but sometimes it can be permanent.

    Learn about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell's_pals...

  10. You need to see a doctor right away, instead of asking us what's wrong. None of us is qualified to diagnose you, given your symptoms. Be seen by a doctor as soon as you can & most hospital ER's have to see you. Where there's a will, there's a way.

  11. its okay maybe god gave you this challenge so you could ignore how bad your poo smells

  12. You should go see a doctor if you have a medical card. maybe you had a mild stroke while you were sleeping, or maybe it was some type of drug that did it.

  13. You may have had a Stroke. You need to go to the Hospital now.

  14. I am a nurse and this diagnosis has come into my hospital rarely.

This could be a side effect from a drug you are taking.

If this is not the case, it can be a sign of emphazira.

It is harmless, you must be down on some vitamins or low in iron or protein.

I think you should go see your closest nurse for some antibiotics though. Beware, do not travel more than 300m - 512m.

    All the best,

    Willis.

  15. Yikes. I would check up on WebMD.

    Hope I Helped

    Jon :D

  16. first try giving your face a little massage.. then if that does'nt work go wash your face with kind of hot warm water.. if that doesnt work you have to go to the doctor.
