The road to MMA continues with The Ultimate Fighter season thirteen from 30 March
The Ultimate Fighter, an original reality series on Spike Television, will be airing its thirteenth season starting on Wednesday the 30th of March, 2011. The series for this season includes fourteen of the best amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters in the one hundred seventy pound category.
The two most exciting fighters in MMA today, Junior dos Santos and Brock Lesnar, will be featured as the coaches of the two participating teams. The series winner will get a chance to compete in the popular Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The host of the series will be the President of the UFC, Dana White.
The 14 participating fighters will be living in one house together. They will train, eat and sleep in the same facilities. Each week the two teams will be pitted against each other and the losers will be eliminating. The last standing fighter will be offered a six-figure contract with UFC. Previous winners have done well at UFC and the 14 participating fighters will have to go through a grueling schedule to make it to the top.
The fourteen fighters included in the cast for this season are as follows:
The thirty two years old, Nordin Asrih, also known as the Fist of Tangier. He trained at the Pride Gym in Dusseldorf, Germany and has an MMA record of 16-5-1.
The twenty eight years old, Shamar Bailey. He trained at Integrated Fighting Systems in Indianapolis, Indiana USA and has an MMA record of 10-3.
The twenty seven years old, Len Bentley also known as the Liger. He trained at Victory Athletics in Washington USA and has an MMA record of 9-4-0.
The twenty six years old, Michael Bowman also known as Mick. He trained in Wolfslair at Liverpool, England and has an MMA record of 7-2-0.
The twenty six years old, Keon Caldwell also known as the Black Assassin. He trained in Team Reality at Moultrie, Georgia USA and has an MMA record of 8-1.
The twenty years old, Chris Cope also known as the C-Murder. He trained in Arena MMA at San Diego, California USA and has an MMA record of 4-1.
The twenty six years old, Zachary Davis. He trained in Evolve at Rockville, Maryland and has an MMA record of 4-1-0.
The twenty six years old, Anthony Ferguson also known as El Cucuy. He trained in Knuckleheadz Boxing at Ventura, California USA and holds an MMA record of 10-2-0.
The thirty years old, Clay Harvison. Clay trained in X3 Sports at Marietta, Georgia USA and holds an MMA record of 6-1-0.
The twenty two years old, Myles Jury also known as the Fury. He trained in Victory at San Diego, California USA and holds an MMA record of 9-0.
The twenty four years old, Ryan McGillivray. He trained in the Legends Training Centre at Edmonton, Alberta located in Canada and holds an MMA record of 11-4-1.
The twenty two years old, Ramsey Nijem. He trained in River Academy at Orem, Utah USA and holds an MMA record of 4-1-0.
The twenty nine years old, Charlie Rader also known as the Superstar. He trained in Power MMA at New Orleans, Louisiana USA and holds an MMA record of 16-5.
The twenty five years old, Javier Torres also known as the Chunty Boy. He trained in Team Tompkins at Las Vegas, Nevada USA and holds an MMA record 3-0-0.
