My brother has recently passed out of training for The Parachute Regiment and is being sent out to Afghanistan with 2 Para. He has been told that he is going to The rock of Gibraltar in Helmand Province.

I served in Helmand Province, Afghanistan last year with 1 Royal Anglian and have never heard of this place.

I know that The rock of Gibraltar is near Spain. But I think this is also a nickname for one of the outstations in Helmand.

So, if any one knows where it is, it would be greatly appreciated.
