The role of the U.S. in the community?

Explain to me the role of the U.S. in the emerging global community.

They sure do like to complain about the USA and how we force our oppressive policys on the world and are power hungry baby killers but they sure don't mind selling us all of the c**p they make,they like us when our economy is good and we can afford cheap T.V.s and clothes,when were not in good shape financially they like to bash us,like being mad at dad when he wont give you your allowance
